On Saturday, former Blue Mountain football standout Gavin Bartholomew scored what will likely be the touchdown of the week and perhaps, the college football season so far.
Bartholomew graduated from Blue Mountain back in 2020 and is currently a sophomore and the starting tight end for the #17 Pitt Panthers.
While his production was limited during the Panthers opening season win against rival West Virginia, Bartholomew showed up in a big way during Pitt’s game with Tennessee.
Bartholomew caught a first-down pass at about the Volunteers 40-yard line, found some open space in front of him down the sideline, and then did this:
From another angle, it looked like this:
Bartholomew would find the end zone on this play, for a 57-yard touchdown.
