Three people from Dauphin County were rushed by medical helicopter to area hospitals from the scene of a vehicle crash in Pine Grove Township Friday evening.
According to information from State Police in Schuylkill Haven, the crash happened on Route 125 (aka Tremont Rd.), at its intersection with Sweet Arrow Lake Rd.
At the time of the crash, a vehicle driven by Scott Delinko, 34, of Pine Grove was headed south on Tremont Rd. In front of him was a vehicle driven by Stacy Shalters, 41, of Gratz.
Police say Shalters’ vehicle was stopped on Tremont Rd., waiting to turn left onto Sweet Arrow Lake Rd. They also say Delinko was distracted and didn’t see Shalters’ vehicle stopped in front of him.
Delinko’s vehicle ran into the back of Shalters’, pushing her vehicle through the intersection.
Shalters sustained minor injuries but 3 passengers in the vehicle were rushed to local hospitals by medical helicopter.
Kevin Alting, 49, and a 13-year-old boy, both of Gratz, were taken to Geisinger Hospital in Danville. Casey Bixler, 20, of Berrysburg, was taken to Hershey Medical Center. Police have not specified the extent of those injuries.
Delinko and a 4-year-old Pine Grove girl were uninjured in the crash.
