A police standoff outside Orwigsburg on Wednesday afternoon ended without incident.
According to State Police in Schuylkill Haven, they were dispatched to a home on Grove St. in West Brunswick Twp. at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police were told there’s a person there suffering a mental health breakdown.
When police arrived on the scene, they said attempts to communicate with the person, identified as a 34-year-old man, were unsuccessful. So, the State Police Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) was dispatched to help with the situation.
