In the latest information on today’s winter storm, National Weather Service now says between 4-6 inches of snow will fall over much of Schuylkill County on Sunday through 7 p.m. Monday.
Here’s the snowfall map NWS created for central Pennsylvania to illustrate the updated forecast. It was created just before 3 p.m. Sunday:
Now, this is close to the forecasted snow total NWS and others published last night but it is slightly more snow.
NWS is still forecasting a light glaze of ice possible with this storm, too.
And Schuylkill County remains under a Winter Weather Advisory from 4 p.m. Sunday until 1 p.m. Monday.
A mix of rain and snow is expected to fall on Schuylkill County on Monday until 1 p.m. After that, snow showers will eventually taper off as the storm moves out of the area.
