
A Pottsville man is dead following a suspected fight in a wooded area of Cass Township, outside Minersville, Thursday evening.
According to State Police in Frackville, they were summoned to 22 Ash Road in Cass Township at about 6 p.m. Thursday. Callers to emergency dispatchers indicate a gunshot was heard following an argument in a wooded area there.
When police arrived, they say they found the body of 27-year-old Joseph Michael Fedornak, of Pottsville. Police say Fedornak had been shot and appeared to have been in a physical fight with someone.
No other details are available at this time. TFC Joe Hall is the lead investigator for Pennsylvania State Police in this case.
