Daniel J. Nagle, 95 – Farmer, Coal Miner, Carpenter

Daniel J. Nagle, 95, formerly of Tremont, passed on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Providence Place, Pottsville.

Born on July 22, 1926 in Pine Grove Twp., he was a son of the late Daniel and Jennie Shomper Nagle.

Daniel was a farmer, coal miner at Penag Coal Co. in Goodspring, worked for Miller Brothers Building and lastly was a self employed carpenter.

He was a member of the Joliet Methodist Church and the Hit or Miss Hunting Club.

Preceding him in death were his first wife Martha Kehler Nagle, second wife Katherine Ney Reed Nagle; three brothers, William Nagle, Arthur Nagle, and John Nagle; two sisters, Beulah Arroyo and Eva Lengle; step daughter Mary Reed.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, step children and step grandchildren.

Graveside Services and interment was held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Zion E.C. Cemetery, 247 Zion Church Rd., Pitman with Pastor Kenneth Edwards officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Joliet Methodist Church, c/o Jean Bender, 216 West Main St., Tremont, Pa. 17981 in his memory.
