Carl D. Brown, 85, of Kurtz Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at home.
Born on January 4, 1936 in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Hilda Brown.
Carl was a member of the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren where he served as Deacon and was on the Cemetery Board.
He was a Maintenance Supervisor at Quaker Alloy in Myerstown, and the former Stecko and H. L. Miller, both in Schuylkill Haven. He also had his own lawn repair business and was a Jacobsen Dealer.
Carl had been an avid hunter, loved fixing things and loved spending time with his family.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 54 years, Vera Kintzel Brown, and a brother Willis Zimmerman.
Surviving are two daughters, Melanie and husband Ronald Ray Daubert of Pine Grove, Melinda Brown of Media; three grandchildren, Victoria and husband Jordan Feidt, Madeline Daubert, and Luke Brown; two great grandsons, Brady and Peyton Feidt; a brother Kenneth “Butch” Zimmerman of Pine Grove; and a sister-in-law Leona Kintzel of Pine Grove.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, 347 Sweet Arrow Lake Rd., Pine Grove with Mike Barnhart officiating. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Church. Interment will follow in the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Memorial Fund, c/o Lois Lehman 26 Pine Hill Rd. Pine Grove, PA 17963 in his memory.
