A Schuylkill County man says someone robbed him through a hole in the wall of his apartment. Police need your help finding the suspected burglar.

State Police in Frackville report they responded to a reported burglary Thursday evening on Water St. in New Philadelphia.

There, 52-year-old Kenneth Hollenbach told police that sometime while he was at work, someone entered his apartment and took $200 in cash from him.

Hollenbach says he came home and noticed a large hole in his wall. He suspects a person entered a neighboring apartment that’d been abandoned following a fire there.

The reported robbery happened some time between 5:50 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the 16th. Once inside, the burglar reportedly took 4 gum-banded bundles of 50 $1 bills.

It’s not known how the suspected burglar got away from the scene.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in this case. If anyone saw something related to this incident, they’re asked to phone State Police at 570-874-5300 and ask for Trooper Trent Karaman.
