Two men were arrested in Girardville Wednesday after one threatened to attack the other with a knife.
According to information from State Police in Frackville, the fracas went down at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday on N. William St. Police say they were dispatched to the area for a report of an attempted assault with a knife.
There, 58-year-old Edward Brown, of Doylestown, told police that 22-year-old Edward Conapitski tried attacking him with a knife. He said Conapitski had a knife in his hand while he continued yelling at him.
Brown said that after the threat, Conapitski fled to the Unity market.
But Brown wasn’t out of the woods, despite being the alleged victim of the attack. Police discovered during the course of their investigation that he was wanted on “multiple warrants” so they attempted to take him into custody.
Brown wasn’t having that and got combative with police and tried hitting troopers with a closed fist. Police say Brown had to be physically restrained before being taken into custody.
Conapitski didn’t get away either. He was found and also arrested.
