Nativity Tops Pottsville for Schuylkill League Boys Basketball Championship
Nativity BVM topped Pottsville Area on Friday night to capture the school’s first-ever Schuylkill League Boys Basketball Championship.
The school best known for its once unstoppable girls basketball teams used a strong second quarter to take a 9-point lead into halftime.
The Crimson Tide, the best team in the Schuylkill League for the last decade or so, was able to chip away at the Hilltoppers’ lead, even taking a lead in the 4th quarter.
Nativity was able to lock up Pottsville’s 3-point shooting late and pulled away in the final minutes
