Panic buying hit store shelves in Schuylkill County pretty hard over the weekend. Everyone’s buying everything in sight at local grocery stores. So much so that some stores have imposed rations on a few items.
Yes, toilet paper.
But amid all the reports of panic buying shortages, there are some places you can go where you’re not going to wait in line for a damn roll of toilet paper.
Around Pottsville, you won’t find too many long lines at places like Brok Sel and Pic-A-Deli. That’s not to say that these places aren’t good stores. They’re fantastic. You don’t just stay in business in Pottsville for more than a year without doing something right.
Just another reminder of how valuable small local businesses are to the community. In a time of panic, at least there’s a place you can go to get away from it all, even if it’s only for a few minutes and a few cents more than the big box stores.
