Police in Schuylkill Haven asked for the public’s help in identifying or locating a person they believe made off with cash from a borough business.
They say just after midnight on Monday, January 20, someone robbed Hess Catering. The thief allegedly took a “large sum of cash and checks” from the business. Hess Catering is owned by Schuylkill County Commissioner Gary Hess and his wife, Sandy, a member of the Schuylkill Haven Area school board.
Their business has security cameras that caught the suspect in this robbery.

You can see the scruffy-faced bandit in this surveillance photo wearing a Batman knit hat .and a light-colored rain coat.
On Monday afternoon, Schuylkill Haven Police posted a message to its Facebook page seeking the public’s help.
They say if you have information on this suspect or the robbery at Hess Catering to call the Schuylkill Haven PD station at 570-385-9111.
