The top teams in the Schuylkill League in 2019 are 7 innings away from being tops in District 11.
Both Blue Mountain, the Schuylkill League champs in 2019, and North Schuylkill, the runner-up, won semifinal games in their respective District 11 tournaments on Saturday.
North Schuylkill routed Saucon Valley on Saturday, 15-1, in a Class 4A semifinal game at Pine Grove. The Spartans now face Northwestern Lehigh, which edged Wilson, 9-8, in another semifinal on Saturday.
The Class 4A championship game is on Monday at 3 p.m. in Pottsville.
For Blue Mountain, it took a late-inning surge to take care of Schuylkill League rivals Pottsville on Saturday in a Class 5A semifinal game at Pine Grove.
The Eagles eventually took care of the Crimson Tide, 5-2, and now get ready for a second-straight District 11 championship game. Blue Mountain tries to defend its title on Tuesday night at 7:30 against Whitehall at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown.
