Tri Valley defeated Nativity BVM, 2-1 on Friday, capturing the District 11 Class 1A baseball championship.
Tyler McGrath hit a 2-run double in the 3rd inning to take the lead after Nativity put a run on the board in the top of the inning.
From there, Brayden “Bubba” Smith shut down the Hilltoppers’ bats. He threw a complete game for the Bulldogs, striking out 8 Nativity batters.
