According to a new GasBuddy.com survey, Wawa has the best public gas station facilities in the commonwealth.
So, potty snobs need to travel to Wawa, just over the line in Tilden Township to experience the luxury that is their bathrooms.
If you want a second-rate flush by Pennsylvania standards, you could settle for a stop at Sheetz. And that’s not a knock on Sheetz’ commodes. We’ve been there. They’re fine as they go. That company’s toiletz topped the charts in two neighboring states, Ohio and West Virginia.

But if you’re looking for a corner-office experience in your gas station restroom, you’ll need to drive to Wawa.
To make the list, stores needed to have at least 20 stores operating in the state. So, if you know of a local gas station with pristine latrines, it wasn’t going to make this list. But do share in the comments section below.
Wawa topped the charts in several states, besides Pennsylvania: New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Florida.

Gas station stores take bathroom cleanliness seriously, believe it or not.
If you’ve stopped at some locations around Schuylkill County, you might find this hard to believe.
“The reputation of gas station restrooms has cleaned up significantly in the past three years, with brands making concentrated efforts to make their facilities sparkle” says Frank Beard, convenience store and retail trends analyst at GasBuddy.
GasBuddy adds that nationwide, gas station cleanliness increased 6% since 2017. Further, the cleanliness of a bathroom at a gas station is the top fear among travelers.
