I served with one of your veterans.. Sadly, he didn’t last an entire day in the 8th Engineering company, at Phouc Vinh. Wasn’t his fault he died, but die he did. I’ve always felt sad for his family. The place was without mercy and often, good men paid the price for the mistakes of others, and so it was with the man I knew, every so briefly.
