Minersville is currently searching for a new Borough Manager.
Robert Mahalchick resigned from the position in November after nearly 12 years on the job for work in the private sector.
At the most recent Borough Council meeting, it was revealed that there are currently 14 applicants to fill the job and Council Vice President Jamie Kuehn said there “possibly” could be action to hire Mahalchick’s replacement when they meet again in February.
Minersville is still collecting applications for the open job but the deadline is fast approaching. Anyone interested in the job has until Friday, Jan. 24 at 3 p.m. Interested candidates should send a letter of interest, resume including a complete work history and at least 3 professional references to: Personnel Committee, Borough Office, 2 E. Sunbury Street, Minersville, PA 17954.
The borough says it can pay between $50-70,000 annually for the new Borough Manager. The pay offered will be based on experience.
