Police in Minersville are investigating an apparent smash-and-grab robbery that happened on Dec. 22 in the borough.
The Minersville Smoke & Tobacco Shop at 253 Sunbury St. was targeted. During the heist, unknown thieves smashed the front window of the store to gain entry. It happened at about 3:30 that morning.
Police say a total of 13 7-ounce jars containing a THC product with an estimated value of $800. Evidence has been collected from the scene and Minersville Police say their investigation is ongoing at this time.
However, they’re asking anyone with surveillance video or any other information related to this reported incident to phone Chief Jeffrey Bowers at 570-544-6212. Information obtained, police say, will remain confidential.
