A Tremont man is facing indecent exposure, lewdness, and disorderly conduct charges in connection with an alleged incident that happened back in late-October.
According to a criminal complaint filed by State Police-Schuylkill Haven, at about 2 p.m. on Oct. 27, a woman in the borough called to report that Jerome Troup, 72, was in a wooded area behind her home, looking at her, and masturbating.
The woman told police that Troup walked into the wooded area behind her house, pulled his pants down, leaned against a tree, and began his lewd action.
After a few minutes of this activity, Troup allegedly walked back to his home next door. The woman who reported the incident told police that she recorded this act on her phone.
Police say that Troup admitted to not knowing why he did what he’s accused of doing.
All charges filed against Troup are misdemeanors. A preliminary hearing before District Magistrate Judge David Rossi is scheduled for Jan. 30, 2025.
