Schuylkill Technology Center will host an Open House at both of its campuses on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 6-8 p.m.
These Open House events are a chance for prospective and currents students, their parents, industry partners and post-secondary college partners to learn what the schools have to offer.
The theme for this year’s Open House events is “Your future starts here.”
Tours of the STC campuses will be given during the Open House events on Wednesday.
At the South Campus, visitors can see the plumbing, welding, carpentry, residential industrial electricity, precision machine trades, auto collision, culinary, computer information systems, marketing and business administration, criminal justice, logistics, and cosmetology programs.
The North Campus will offer tours of its diesel, automotive technology, outdoor power technology, masonry, carpentry, electro-mechanical technology, health careers, emerging health professionals, culinary, and early childhood care and education programs.
STC is also showcasing its new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning program, which is slated to launch in January 2025.
STC Adult Education Program staff will also be on hand during the Open House events to meet with prospective adult learners seeking training in CDL, welding, automotive technology, medical assisting, and practical nursing programs.
Hands-on activities will be offered to prospective students so they can get an idea of what type of training they get at STC.
STC Open House is free and open to the public. The STC culinary program will be having a food sale at both campuses during the Open House.
