Party in the Parking Lot to Benefit Dustin’s Adventureland Satellite Playground in Palo Alto

Rain or shine this Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.

Dustin’s Adventureland and the Palo Alto Recreation Committee are teaming up for a Party in the Parking Lot this Saturday.

The event will be held at the Citizens Fire Co. parking lot on Bacon St. in Palo Alto. It starts at 10 a.m. and runs until 10 p.m. Party in the Parking Lot is a rain or shine event.

“Don’t let the weather scare you away from a great event for a great cause! We are proud to have this project coming to the Borough and happy to host the event at Citizens. There is lots of great food and a great family event,” says Brian Dries, Palo Alto Borough Council president and vice president of Citizens Fire Co.

The day begins with plenty of food and raffles. There will be seven bands performing throughout the day, starting at 2 p.m. and running until 10 p.m.

Outside of the bands, food, and raffles, there will also be race cars, firetrucks, kids games, a dunk tank, face painting, a bounce house, a beer trailer, a food and bake sale, and a money wheel

“The overwhelming support of the community and local businesses is how this event is made possible. We have dozens of donors/sponsors for this event and look forward to seeing everyone Saturday,” says Jeff Dunkel, president of Dustin’s Adventureland and the organizer of Party in the Parking Lot. “We would like to thank everyone who donated food, raffle items or sponsored the event in any way. All proceeds from this event go to the planned upgrades at the Bacon St Playground to bring more inclusivity to our County.”

The event is being held to benefit the improvements to the Bacon St. Playground in Palo Alto, which was recently selected as a satellite location for the organization’s next all-inclusive playground and a spinoff to the popular, first-ever all-inclusive playground opened in Minersville in September 2022.
