A Pine Grove man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash last week along Route 501.
According to information released by State Police-Schuylkill Haven, the crash happened just after 6 a.m. on Aug. 8 along Bethel Rd. (Route 501) near its intersection with Stanhope Rd. in Pine Grove Twp.
Police say Bently Luckenbill, 22, of Pine Grove, was traveling southbound on Route 501 at the time of the crash.
Luckenbill’s vehicle left the road onto the shoulder and struck a tree. His vehicle came to rest in heavy brush along the side of the road.
The road was closed for more than two hours after the crash.
