Funeral for State Trooper Peter Conforti Scheduled for Monday Outside Hamburg

A funeral for Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Peter Conforti will be held on Monday morning, Aug. 5, outside Hamburg.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Monday at The Bridge Church, along Old Route 22, in Windsor Twp., Berks County.

A procession following the services will go from the church past the Hamburg State Police barracks, where Conforti was serving at the time of his death last week, before he’s interred during a private ceremony at Zion UCC Cemetery, Lewistown Valley.

Conforti, 30, was a resident of Walker Township, Schuylkill County, and is a 2012 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School. He was a four-year starter for the Tamaqua Area football team, a Homecoming King, and a class officer.

Following his graduation from Tamaqua Area, Conforti earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Misericordia University.

State Police announced that Conforti had passed away on Wednesday, July 31. He has served as a member of Pennsylvania State Police since graduating as part of the 146th Cadet class in 2016.

Conforti leaves behind a wife, Alexandra, and a 1-year-old son, Abram. His family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in his honor be made to his son’s future education, a scholarship at Tamaqua Area High School, or to support the Tamaqua Area football team.

Checks with donations can be made to Alexandra Conforti, with a memo noting where funds should be directed, and addressed to 1108 Shady Lane, Tamaqua, PA 18252.
