Here’s our next installment of Fur-iday Friends, dedicated to helping shelter animals in Schuylkill County find their new forever homes.
Every Friday, we introduce you to a group of a shelter’s charming residents — cats and dogs — all eager to make you their new best bud.
Check back every “Fur-iday” and help these wonderful creatures find the love and care they deserve.
Here are this week’s Fur-iday Friends:
Jojo
Jojo is a 6- or 7-year-old caliby female. She has a “very chill” personality.
Although she likes to keep to herself, mostly, and do her own thing, she is definitely looking for a best friend and a new place to call home.
Jojo loves to sleep and loves food … pretty much like any cat. But she loves to get pets and wants a snuggle buddy.
She’s just fine with other cats.
Punkin
Punkin is a 4-year-old male who also enjoys minding his own business.
He’s talkative and not a troublemaker.
He’s good with other cats in the home and loves to go exploring.
Alabama
Alabama is a striking 1-year-old Catahoula mix.
He’s a very friendly, high-energy pup who needs an active home. It’d be best if he came to a home with older children due to his size and energy level.
Alabama, however, does not like to be around other animals.
Chopper
Chopper is a 5-year-old pitbull mix.
Chopper is shy around some men but otherwise is generally friendly.
Cats are not Chopper’s friends but other dogs are just fine. Chopper’s been at Hillside SPCA for about a year.
Adopt a Pet at Hillside SPCA
Hillside SPCA is located at 51 SPCA Rd., Pottsville.
Visitation and adoption hours are from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. every day of the week except Wednesday. On Wednesday, you can visit these furry friends and many more from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
