A few dozen people in Schuylkill County have reported to the US Geological Survey that they felt the earthquake that just hit Lebanon, New Jersey, on Friday morning.
According to USGS data, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck 7 kilometers (approximately 4 miles) north of Whitehouse Station, NJ, at 10:23 a.m.
Following an earthquake, USGS collects data and places it on a Did You Feel It? map. As time passes following the earthquake, more of these reports are coming in to USGS.
And the agency is now collecting reports from people in Schuylkill County who say they felt the earthquake. You can report if you felt the New Jersey earthquake by following this link.

Based on an intensity map, light to moderate shaking would likely to have been felt here. Pottsville is about 90 miles east of Whitehouse Station, NJ.
