Probably No Snow This Weekend

Definitely rain but probably no snow on Sunday.

There’s been a lot of chatter about potential snow at the end of this weekend.

Well, as of right now, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen here in Schuylkill County.

Rain, definitely. Maybe a little bit of snow late on Sunday night. But as far as a snowstorm goes, don’t bet on it.

Here’s the latest 7-day forecast for Pottsville from National Weather Service …

Friday 🌦️🌫️: A chance of morning showers and areas of fog before 9 a.m. Mostly cloudy later, with a high near 52°. East wind at 6 to 10 mph shifting west in the afternoon. Precipitation chance: 30%.

Friday Night ☁️: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39°. West wind at 6 to 10 mph.

Saturday ☁️: Mostly cloudy skies with a high near 47°. Gentle northwest wind at 5 to 7 mph.

Saturday Night 🌧️: Rain expected, mainly after 1 a.m. Low around 36°. East wind at 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation: 80%, with new amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch possible.
