A month after telling Pottsville Parking Authority board members he was tendering his resignation, Executive Director Ian Lipton is taking that back.
Multiple sources confirmed to The Canary on Friday that Lipton is rescinding his resignation from Pottsville Parking Authority.
Lipton was unavailable for comment on Friday.
Last month, Lipton told board members he’s quitting because they wouldn’t approve a 3-year contract extension for him. Instead, board members wanted to retain his services on a year-by-year basis.
At that same board meeting in November, Lipton’s annual bonus was significantly reduced after a prolonged executive session discussion among the board.

It doesn’t matter if he stays or goes,theirs really nothing worth spending money in Pottsville,with the w caption of Lee Bohorad’s. Find establishment. You can get an everything else available in Putzville,somewhere else in the county,usually with free parking.
Didn’t he ask Larry Padora for a job? He’s giving them away…

When was the last comprehensive parking assessment done in Pottsville?
Every meter should be determined, 1. If needed 2. If hours should be adjusted 3. If the meter is accurate
Another question that needs to be answered. Does the new APP work? Ask ALL the local businesses, are they happy with the APP?
Why doesn’t Pottsville have free parking for the Christmas Season?
Just a few questions.

Didn’t Pottsville Council members accept his resignation? Why in the world would he be getting a BONUS every year?! That is insane! Pottsville taxpayers should be up in arms. He needs to go.

He informed the Parking Authority board members that he intends to submit his resignation. That would have to be accepted at a future meeting since he told them that at the previous meeting.

Any idea what Lipton’s annual salary is and how his Bonus is determined? Not sure if he also receives health benefits? Thanks
