‘Twas the start of Christmas in Shenandoah town,
Where a skydiving Santa was soon to come down.
From an airplane so high, at four thousand feet,
He jumped with a joy no one could beat.
With elves in tow, diving through the sky,
The town of Shenandoah watched them fly by.
Mrs. T’s Pierogies, with a plan so grand,
Organized this event, the best in the land.
The 16th year, it’s now a tradition,
Skydiving Santa, a remarkable mission.
In Veterans Memorial Stadium, he aimed to land,
With a jolly slide, backside first, wasn’t it grand?
Below, the people had gathered in cheer,
Waiting for Santa and his reindeer gear.
SpinJammers DJs played tunes so bright,
Filling the stadium with musical light.
Mrs. Claus and a camo-clad Rudolph too,
Were there for photos, amidst the festive crew.
Face painters with brushes, so lively and quick,
Painted smiles and snowflakes, layered on thick.
The Shenandoah Valley Band played with might,
Leading a firetruck parade, a dazzling sight.
Hot chocolate, donuts, cookies galore,
The band boosters sold, raising funds and more.
Then came Santa, on an antique truck,
Through Shenandoah streets, what marvelous luck!
To Borough Hall, where kids lined in rows,
Sharing their wishes, in excitement, it shows.
In the heart of the coal region, under a sky so bright,
Santa’s visit brought wonder, and to all a delightful sight.
With cheers and with laughter, the town’s spirit so light,
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good flight!
