A Mahanoy City man has been identified as the pedestrian victim of a fatal hit-and-run incident in Shenandoah Saturday morning.
According to new information from State Police in Frackville, 36-year-old Cristhian Perez-Gonzalez died before 5:30 Saturday morning along Route 924.
Police say they found Gonzalez’ body in the right southbound lane of the road leading out of Shenandoah.
The driver of the vehicle that hit Gonzalez while he was walking along the road has been identified, police say. But his name has not been released to the public.
An investigation into this incident remains active Sunday morning. Police ask anyone with information about this fatal hit-and-run to call the Frackville barracks at 570-874-5300.
