Had Enough of the Snow?
We’ve got great news to report on the weather.
For at least the next week, there’s almost no chance of any significant snow in Schuylkill County. Hopefully, we didn’t just jinx that.
This is after another 4-6 inches of snow fell on the coal region on Monday during a quick-moving clipper storm that snarled traffic around the county for a few hours to start the week.
Here in the Pottsville area, we measured 5 inches of a dense, wet snow that we actually found somewhat easy to shovel … despite falling once.
On Tuesday, we may see some snow showers in the area before 4 p.m. National Weather Service says that maybe a half-inch could build up but we can expect a high above freezing for the day. The story of the day may be the wind. Gusts could get as high as 34 mph during the day and 22 mph at night.
