Schuylkill County Weather Report for August 23, 2020
It sure got toasty on Saturday afternoon as temperatures climbed back toward 90. Just a little reminder that it’s definitely still summer here in the coal region.
And it looks like you’ll get constant reminders the rest of the week that it’s definitely still summertime. Toasty warmth that we’ll long for in a few months dominates the forecast for the week ahead, including on Sunday.
Like the rest of the week, there’s a slight chance of rain showers and maybe a thunderstorm Sunday afternoon.
It definitely looked like it was going to storm over western Schuylkill County on Saturday afternoon.
As the mercury kept rising, we snapped this shot of some ominous, puffy clouds building over the roof of the Agway store in Cressona.
But alas, no rain.
There’s about a 30% chance of rain and showers again on Sunday. But if Sunday’s like most of this summer here in Schuylkill County, it won’t rain.
