πŸ’§ Flash Flood Watch Issued for Schuylkill County Ahead of TS Isaias

National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Schuylkill County ahead of Tropical Storm Isaias.

The Flash Flood Watch is in effect from Monday evening through Tuesday evening. Pennsylvania counties included in the Watch are:

  • Adams
  • Cumberland
  • Dauphin
  • Franklin
  • Fulton
  • Lancaster
  • Lebanon
  • Perry
  • Schuylkill
  • York

TS Isaias is expected to drop between 2-4 inches of rain on Schuylkill County through the end of the day on Tuesday. NWS says the highest amounts will fall east of Lancaster.

Small streams and creeks are the ones mostly likely to flood in the event of heavy rain. In Schuylkill County, some areas are prone to flooding and residents in those communities should be aware of rising water and make preparations ahead of the start of rain.
