Central Park Karen Argument Lands Philly Sports Radio Host on “Vacation” Time

Sports radio hosts constantly lose their cool.

It’s part of the bit. Especially sports radio hosts in Philly.

Mike Missanelli at 97.5-FM takes this as his personal mission. He hosts The Mike Missanelli Show, which also appears on NBC Sports-Philadelphia.

Missanelli has been known to fight with producers and even other hosts.

As the drive time host, he likes to fire up his callers.

But on Tuesday it was Missanelli who got fired up, but it wasn’t about sports.

He, show producer Tyrone Johnson, and updates reporter Natalie Egenolf were discussing the Central Park Karen incident that gained attention earlier this week.

Missanelli disagreed with the other two who believed the Karen in that viral video was racist, or at least was at that moment.

Check out the tweet below to see the host get a little frustrated and his reaction:

When Johnson and Egenolf tried explaining “another side” to the story, Missanelli disagreed and said, “I just don’t think there’s another side of it.” Then he ripped off his headset and threw it in the studio.

After demonstrating how he creates a toxic environment, Missanelli claims now that he’s fallen into some vacation time. Sounds more like he had to go see the manager himself.
