Schuylkill County’s total of positive COVID-19 coronavirus now stands at 47. That total is 9 higher than yesterday.
This is the 9th consecutive day of positive coronavirus cases locally. Here’s a day-by-day breakdown:

Statewide, cumulatively, there are 5,805 positive cases as of noon Wednesday, April 1. That’s 962 cases more than Tuesday. Pennsylvania’s death toll from coronavirus-related illness is now 74.
The first positive case in Pennsylvania was reported on March 6.
Schuylkill County at 47 Positive Coronavirus Cases
To date, there are 5,805 total positive cases in Pennsylvania and another 42,427 negatives. A total of 48,232 tests have been conducted. The state reported results on 5,744 tests, positive and negative, on Wednesday.

The volume of new cases reported daily may be alarming. However, each day, the state gets more test results per day.
