Warrant Issued for Schuylkill County Man Accused of Threatening to Set Woman on Fire

“Queso” wanted by police

A Schuylkill County man is wanted after police say he sent a woman a barrage of overnight text messages threatening to douse her in gasoline, set her on fire and stab her.

Roberto Martir Crespo, 26, of Saint Clair, also known as “Queso,” faces charges of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another and stalking, both first-degree misdemeanors, along with two counts of harassment. Police have obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Saint Clair Police say they were dispatched just before 3 a.m. on Aug. 7 after a woman called to report she was receiving multiple threatening text messages from Crespo. She told police the messages had come in within the previous hour and that Crespo was threatening to set her on fire and stab her.

Police asked the woman to come to the police station for an in-person interview and to review the messages on her phone. She showed police a series of texts sent from Crespo’s phone number in a roughly half-hour stretch beginning around 1:30 a.m..

“I’m telling you don’t f*** w me to much bc I swear to my kids that I would light you on fire infront of the whole town and go to jail,” one message read, according to police.

“I will dead ass throw gas on you and light you on fire and watch you cry and watch you cry and run for help and laugh at it,” another read.

Other messages included “I’m not playing [victim’s name] don’t make me do what I say Bc I will” and “You think I won’t stab tf you out and leave you right where you are and go to jail after for a year or two?”, police say.

Police say the messages also referenced the woman seeking a protection-from-abuse order. “put a pfa on me bc it ain’t gonna stop me and save these screen shots bc watch when I see you,” one read, according to police. Another said, “you wanna talk s*** on me go and put a pfa you wanna act tough you think the n**** you with are tough watch when I run into you I put this on all my kids and my mom and everyone I love Watch.”

Later messages included “Im telling you rn to stop texting me it’s not hard to get in your moms crib and don’t dirty if ima go to jail anyways each wtf you saying” and “Ppl say im crazy bc they make me that way watch wtf you tellin me bc your gonna be the reason I get locked up,” police say.

The messages put the woman in extreme fear of serious physical injury or death and caused her extreme emotional distress, police say. Investigators allege Crespo sent the messages with the intent to commit violence or terrorize her.

In addition to the terroristic threats and stalking counts, Crespo is charged with one count of harassment, a third-degree misdemeanor, and one count of summary harassment.
