A Hazleton area vehicle dealership is the subject of a State Police investigation because it allegedly did not send its customers’ required paperwork to PennDOT in a timely manner.
As a result, a number of customers did not receive their vehicle registrations or titles.
State Police-Hazleton say they’re investigating claims against Key Ford of Hazleton, located in Hazle Township, Luzerne County. Authorities say the business did not submit Forms MV-1 and MV-4ST to PennDOT upon the sale of vehicles in the required timeframe.
So far, police have identified four Key Ford customers who had not received their new vehicle title and registration in a timely manner. One of those customers is from Schuylkill County, police say.
Police are asking any other customers of Key Ford of Hazleton to come forward if they too have not received their title or registration in a timely manner. Customers can call PSP-Hazleton at 570-459-3890.
