Schuylkill County Man Wanted by Police on Home Improvement Fraud Charge

Taylor ghosted woman after accepting more than $1,100 to do work for her.

A Schuylkill County man is wanted by police on a home improvement fraud charge.

Police in Rush Township say they were approached by a woman back in June regarding a man she’d paid to do work at her home. The woman told police she paid Jacob Taylor, 18, with a last known address in Mahanoy City, $1,122 through Cash App to do some home improvements.

Taylor never began working on the woman’s home, however. The woman told police she even offered more work to Taylor to pay off the $1,122 but he once again ghosted her.

Because police can’t locate Taylor, they requested a warrant be issued for his arrest. He’s being charged with theft by deception.
