Four Schuylkill County residents are each facing a felony charge after they allegedly attacked a woman’s vehicle by punching, kicking, and slamming their bodies into it and causing thousands of dollars in damage.
Jean Metz, 45, Joshua Rogers, 40, Kathryn Dennis, 43, and Harry Dennis, 53, all of Frackville, are each charged with one third-degree felony count of criminal mischief.
The incident allegedly occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on June 8. West Mahanoy Township Police say a woman was sitting in a Subway parking lot waiting for DoorDash orders with her sister and cousin when the four defendants began yelling at her from an Exxon station across the street.
When the woman drove her vehicle across the street to see what the problem was, police say the group “attacked” the vehicle. During the altercation, police allege Metz and Kathryn Dennis attempted to unlock the door and gain entry into the vehicle through an open window.
The woman drove away from the area and called police. She later provided police with video of the altercation and an auto body repair estimate showing $6,750.82 in damage to the vehicle.
Preliminary hearings for each are scheduled for July 15 before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli.
