Police in Ashland are currently investigating the shooting of a dog.
According to Police Chief Ger Daley, at about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, an unknown person shot a 3-year-old shepherd/husky mix in its yard in the 1100 block of Market St. in the borough.
The dog was rushed to Hershey Animal Emergency Center for surgery.
