Police say they were able to track a Schuylkill County man’s footprints in the snow to take him into custody Saturday morning.
State Police in Bloomsburg say they were called to a home on Erin Lane in Conyngham Township, Columbia County, shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday for a report of a domestic altercation.
Through the course of their investigation, police say they learned that a suspect in the incident – identified as 37-year-old Joshua Daum, of Ashland – had active warrants for his arrest out of Carbon and Columbia counties.
As police arrived at the scene of the domestic incident, they learned that Daum had fled the scene on foot.
Police say they were able to track Daum’s footprints in the fresh snow. Nearly a mile into the woods, police say Daum was located and taken into custody.
During a search of his person, police say they found drugs and paraphernalia on Daum.
Charges aganst Daum from Saturday’s incident were not immediately available.
