A Schuylkill County man has been charged with felony home improvement fraud.
According to court records, a woman from Berks County walked into the State Police-Hamburg barracks on Dec. 16 to report that she gave an $8,500 deposit to Austin D. Keller, 26, of Pottsville, who represented himself as the owner of Rose of Jericho Construction LLC, in February.
The alleged victim said she gave Keller the money but to date, no work has been completed nor any supplies delivered to her home.
She reportedly told police that the $8,500 check she gave to Keller was deposited immediately after she gave it to him.
Multiple attempts to reach Keller have been unsuccessful, police say.
Keller is facing a felony charge of home improvement fraud
