A Schuylkill County man remains wanted by police after he allegedly ripped out Taser probes from himself last week and fled.
According to court documents, police in Minersville say that at about 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, Jonathan (aka Jonathon) Carvajal, 31, of Minersville was observed at an address on Pottsville St.
Schuylkill County police dispatchers notified an officer that Carvajal had an active arrest warrant.
Police say they approached Carvajal to take him into custody but he ran. He was ordered to stop by police and a Taser was eventually deployed during the foot pursuit.
Carvajal allegedly ripped out the probes that stuck to him and he continued to flee police on foot.
As the foot pursuit continued, police say they gave multiple commands for him to stop, but were ignored. The foot pursuit went from Hickory St. to Snyder St., and then onto Lytle St.
Carvajal is now facing misdemeanor charges of flight to avoid apprehension and resisting arrest.
