A Dauphin County man has been charged with having inappropriate physical contact with a teen girl from Schuylkill County.
According to court documents, State Police-Frackville say they received a Childline referral on May 10, 2024, regarding a then-15-year-old girl from Ringtown. That referral reportedly stated that Domitilo Zavala, 34, of Lykens, came into the girl’s bedroom at about 3 a.m. that morning and began touching her in a sexual manner.
A forensic interview of the victim was conducted at UPMC Children’s Resource Center in Harrisburg on June 7, 2024, police say. At that time, the victim recounted Zavala’s alleged acts against her, saying the contact was over her clothing.
This week, police have charged Zavala with corruption of minors and indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old, both misdemeanor offenses. Zavala has been ordered to appear at a preliminary hearing before District Magistrate Judge Edward Tarantelli on July 9 to answer to these charges.
