A Philadelphia woman has been charged with trying to smuggle drugs into a state prison located in Schuylkill County.
Police say she attempted to do so by hiding the drugs in her bra.
According to State Police-Frackville, shortly after noon on Monday, a Trooper was called to SCI-Mahanoy for a report of a woman trying to smuggle suboxone strips into the correctional facility by stuffing them in her bra.
Police say the woman – identified as Shannel Williams, 28, of Philadelphia – had 30 suboxone strips stashed away in her bra as she entered the prison facility.
Williams was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with smuggling contraband to an inmate, possession with intent to deliver, and possession of a controlled substance.
