National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for Schuylkill County.
The High Wind Warning is in effect from 1 p.m. Sunday until 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17.
During the duration of the High Wind Warning, gusts of up to 60 mph are expected. Steady wind speeds of 20-30 mph are in the forecast. The strongest wind gusts are most likely from Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening.
The strong winds will bring with them Arctic air. Temperatures will drop into the teens and 20s with wind chill values slightly below or slightly above zero this week.
Downed trees and power lines are expected to cause widespread power outages across the entire warned area, which includes all of eastern and central Pennsylvania.
