A Walmart Spark driver is facing a felony retail theft charge after she allegedly stole a pair of Apple Watch devices recently.
According to a criminal complaint filed by Saint Clair Police Toni Marshall, 28, with a listed address of Detroit, Michigan, entered the Walmart store in the borough on May 20, shortly after 10 p.m.
Marshall went to the electronics department and identified herself as a Spark delivery driver. She told a Walmart employee that she was there to pick up a pair of Apple Watch Series 9 devices.
The employee gives Marshall the wearables and then heads toward the front entrance and walks out without paying.
Police say they were given this case by store security, which provided Marshall’s name, date of birth, and photo and video evidence of this incident.
The Apple Watch devices are valued at $658.
Marshall has a Preliminary Hearing before District Magistrate David Plachko scheduled for Dec. 10. She’s facing a felony charge of retail theft and a misdemeanor for receiving stolen property.
