The daughter of a Schuylkill County business owner is facing felony theft charges after allegedly stealing cash from her father’s business.
According to a criminal complaint filed, Blythe Township police were flagged down by Martin Mazloom at about 5 p.m.on Aug. 14.
Mazloom told police that about a half-hour prior, his daughter, Martina, went into his business, Mazloom’s Bar and Grill, New Philadelphia, and stole $2,000 cash.
At the time of this alleged theft, the bar was open and customers were inside.
Witnesses reportedly told police that Martina Mazloom grabbed the money then jumped over the counter and ran out the front door of the barroom.
The bartender working at that time notified the owner of what had happened.
Martina Mazloom is now facing third-degree felony charges of theft and receiving stolen property in connection with this incident.
