Tamaqua Council Makes Several Personnel Moves

Tamaqua Borough Council members recently approved several personnel actions at their May 21 meeting.

Here’s a rundown of the actions council members made:

Utility and Maintenance Positions:

  • Michaelene Trubilla was hired as a part-time Utility Billing Clerk at a pay rate of $17 per hour.
  • Zane Bynon, Gavin Clouser, Lauren Hill, Nathan Milkovits, and Michael Styka were hired as part-time maintenance workers at a rate of $12.50 per hour, with an additional $0.25 per hour for each year of service.

Transfers and Permanent Assignments:

  • Shane Young was transferred to the Mechanic/Street Worker position.
  • Lonnie Ahner was transferred to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Work Leader Trainee position.
  • Todd Macalush was transferred to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator position.
  • Timothy Ziegler was permanently transferred to the Borough Secretary/Treasurer position.
  • Lori Patrick was permanently transferred to the full-time Utility Billing Clerk position.
  • Frank Staines was retained as a full-time Building Custodian, effective June 6, 2024.

Recreation and Youth Services:

  • Part-time lifeguards were hired at a pay rate of $10 per hour plus an additional $0.25 per hour for each year of service.
  • Part-time pool clerks were hired at a rate of $9 per hour plus $0.25 per hour for each year of service.
