Rainy Start to the Weekend Brings In Warmer Weather Next Week

A little rain ushers in some Spring-like weather to start next week.

March isn’t really coming in like a lion. It’s more like a soggy domestic house cat.

We’re looking at a bit of rain Friday night and into Saturday. But this rainy weather will bring a return to the warm weather we’d been experiencing until Thursday. We’ll see high temps in the upper 50s and lower 60s on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday next week as we creep closer to Springtime here in Schuylkill County.

Schuylkill County 7-day Forecast

Here’s the latest 7-day forecast for Pottsville from National Weather Service …

Friday ☁️: Those clouds are rolling in, but we’re still hitting a high near 46°. A light breeze from the south picks up to 5 to 10 mph as the morning progresses.

Friday Night 🌧️☁️: Looks like the rain’s clocking in for the night shift, mostly after 4am. Clouds keep gathering, and temps hover around 34°. The southeast wind keeps it chill at 5 to 9 mph. There’s a 60% chance we’re gonna see some action, with rainfall possibly hitting between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.

Saturday 🌧️: It’s a rain-heavy day, especially before the afternoon. Expect a high near 44° with an east breeze at 5 to 11 mph. Rain’s almost a sure thing at 90%, so maybe plan for a cozy indoor day. Rainfall could add up to a similar amount as Friday night.

Saturday Night ☁️: The clouds aren’t going anywhere, setting up camp with lows around 43°. A gentle north wind at 3 to 6 mph keeps things cool.

Sunday 🌤️: The sun peeks through, giving us partly sunny skies and a much warmer high near 59°. Seems like a solid day to enjoy some outdoorsy stuff.

Sunday Night ☁️: Clouds decide to stick around, with the thermometer dipping to a comfy 45°.

Monday 🌤️: Keeping the partly sunny vibe rolling with temps stepping up to a sweet 62°. Spring, is that you?

Monday Night ☁️: Mostly cloudy again, with lows not dropping too far, just to around 47°.

Tuesday ☁️: Staying mostly cloudy with highs chilling near 59°. Looks like we’re in for a steady pattern here.

Tuesday Night 🌧️☁️: Rain’s on the maybe list, with mostly cloudy skies and lows at 46°. There’s a 30% chance, so who knows?

Wednesday 🌧️☁️: Rain chances bump up to 40%, under—you guessed it—mostly cloudy skies, high near 56°. Might wanna keep that umbrella handy.

Wednesday Night 🌧️☁️: Evening’s looking at a 50% chance of rain with those clouds not giving up, lows around 43°.

Thursday 🌧️☁️: More chances of rain with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 53°. The rain dance continues at a 40% chance.
