Seeking Permission to Talk About the Snow

Late-winter snows? No one really knows.

Those nutjobs on Facebook who warn you not to look at other nutjobs who talk about snowstorms “jUsT fOr cLiCkS” are talking about a snowstorm that’s potentially 5-6 days away because they’re not doing it just for clicks.

Truth is, they are, and apparently part of their business model is beating on a strawman who is out there fearmongering about snowstorms.

See, these nutjobs who are the self-appointed gatekeepers of information about snowstorms are no different than any of the others. Some are just more … umm, clever? … about how they spin their hysteria.

They say it’s for your “sAfEtY” and that’s why they break their own rules to talk about storms when it’s obvious their Facebook pages are taking a beating from no one looking at them.

So, is it going to snow here? No one really knows for sure. Some say yes. Others say no.

In the meantime, let’s try to enjoy the weather that’s right in front of us. We’ve got a beautiful Thursday ahead of us. Meanwhile, we’re just oiling the hysteria machine to hype up a potential snowstorm, despite what others may declare is fearmongering.
